MULTAN: Former president and Pakistan People’s Party Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari has said that cou
rts had never given a single verdict against Sharif family
in the past.
Answering a question about the possible verdict of Panama Papers case against Nawaz Sharif and his family, the PPP co-chairman told a press conference in Multan on Friday that Benazir Bhutto used to say that cou
rts have never ruled against Sharifs.
̶0;Benazir Bhutto used to say that cou
rts have never ruled in our favour and against Sharifs,” he said.
Zardari also announced to hold rallies in P
unjab in order to secure victory
in the province
in the next election.
̶0;We will take P
unjab from them (PML-N) and will show them how to run the province. The whole P
unjab is ours and the people of the province will support us,” he said.
Zardari said early elections was not a possibility
in the current political scenario. He said his party was ready to contest the upcoming general elections and expre
ssed the hope that PPP will win the elections.
Criticising former chief justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Chaudhry, Zardari said that he had formed his own political party and wanted to become president of the country, adding that he was always a ‘political judge’.
̶0;The man whose video went viral on social media was a political judge and I will ask him to have some shame,” said Zardari.
He congratulated former federal minister Hamid Saeed Kazmi on his respectful acquittal from the court in Hajj corruption case and said that those we levelled baseless allegations against him should feel shame over his release.
