KARACHI: Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah decided on Saturday that the implementation of the earlier order to close wedding halls by 10pm is postponed till Feb 1.
Minister of Industries Manzoor Wassan met with the Chief Minister and informed him that the orders for early closure of the weddings halls cannot be implemented from Nov 1 as the halls have been booked till January 1.
“Such implementation would cause problems for people therefore order should be postponed,” the Chief Minister was told.
Earlier in October, the government of Sindh had decided to ensure strict implementation of its decisions, seeking closure of marriage halls by 10pm.
The Sindh government has also ordered that no more three dishes would be served in marriage functions.
Sindh government had also announced to close all the markets at 7 PM. The traders and shopkeepers rejected the decision altogether and called it as an attack on their business as the metropolitan city has most rush of customers at night time.
