KARACHI: At least 10 suspected persons have been apprehended during search operations by intelligence agencies in different areas of Karachi.
On a tip-off, intelligence agencies raided Liaqatabad, Lyari and Pak Colony areas of Karachi on Thursday and rounded-up 10 suspected persons. According to Sources, weapons, drugs, hand-grenades were recovered from suspects’ possession during raid.
The detainees have been shifted to undisclosed locations for further investigations. The detainees were wanted to police in various crimes and were affiliated with banned outfits, political parties, and Lyari gang war groups.
Meanwhile, police arrested an accused person, Kamran, during a shootout in Pirabad, while weapon was also recovered from his possession. Similarly, police arrested an accused person, Ishtiaq Gul in injured condition during a police shootout in Zaman town, while weapon, stolen motorcycle, and valuables were also recovered from his possession.
Similarly, police arrested accused persons, Danish and Sameer during a search operation in Defence phase 2, while two TT pistols, stolen motorcycle, and valuables were also recovered from their possession.
